Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development works worth ₹298.06 lakh in the Vilaspur Kadli area of the Mussoorie Assembly constituency, at the premises of 11 GRRC Junior High School, Ghanghora.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi inaugurated the Vilaspur Kadli drinking water scheme, constructed at a cost of ₹243.38 lakh. He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a school building at 11 GRRC Junior High School in Vilaspur Kadli, Mussoorie Assembly constituency, under a Chief Minister’s announcement, at a cost of ₹54.68 lakh. On this occasion, he also performed the traditional ground-breaking ceremony for the school building.
Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, stating that development works are gaining momentum in the state under the Chief Minister’s leadership. He said that the completion of the Vilaspur Kadli drinking water scheme will provide clean drinking water to the residents of the area, thus resolving the long-standing water problem. He added that the construction of the school building will provide students with a better educational environment and bring about positive changes in the field of education. He said that the state government is committed to strengthening education, drinking water, sports, and basic amenities.
During the event, the local residents presented various demands, including the construction of an Anganwadi center, a cricket ground, the installation of tube wells in the area, and the construction of a community hall. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi gave positive assurances to the residents and promised to address their demands promptly. He also felicitated Bhupendra Singh Dhami, a talented player who performed exceptionally well in the inter-state Santosh Trophy competition, and encouraged him. He also honored state activist Nandi Bisht and social worker Pragati Sadana. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also extended New Year greetings and best wishes to everyone present. On this occasion, District Panchayat member Kanchan, Village Head Vinod Awasthi, Block Panchayat members Deepika, Jyoti Kotiya, Vandana Bisht, Captain Chandan Singh Bisht, Kuldev Singh Negi, Jagdish Pandey, Manju Deupa, Vikram Kandari, Krishna Bhatt, Girish Uniyal, Principal Sanju Saklani, Executive Engineer of Water Supply Corporation Kanchan Rawat, and Meharban Singh Rana, along with many others, were present.
