While returning from Mussoorie, Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi conducted a site inspection of the ongoing treatment works in the Galogi area of the Dehradun-Mussoorie motorway late last night.
During the inspection, Minister Joshi inquired about the progress and quality of road construction, drainage systems, and retaining walls. He directed department officials to ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality standards and within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring no inconvenience to the public.
Local citizens informed Minister Joshi that piles of mud on the roadside were causing inconvenience to travelers and tourists on the Mussoorie-Dehradun route. On the spot, Minister Joshi directed officials to immediately remove the mud and fully reopen the road.
Minister Joshi stated that the Mussoorie route is a major tourist and connectivity route in the state, and ensuring smooth and safe travel is the government’s top priority. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government is rapidly working to strengthen infrastructure, which will boost tourism and the local economy.
