Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today formally unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Park in Mussoorie, in the presence of BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a national leader whose words were listened to seriously not only by his own party but also by the opposition. He said that Atal Ji had a special connection with Mussoorie and his contribution to the creation of Uttarakhand as a separate state is historic and unforgettable. He added that Atal Ji’s thoughts and actions continue to be a source of inspiration for all of us. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also announced improvements to the parking facilities at Atal Park and the construction of a polyhouse, which will benefit local residents and tourists.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee lives on in our thoughts. He said that nation-building can only be advanced by following his principles and values. He added that Atal Ji’s personality and achievements continue to inspire millions of people today.
Also present on the occasion were Municipal Chairperson Meera Saklani, Mandal President Rajat Agarwal, Mohan Petwal, OP Uniyal, Surendra Rana, Manmohan Sharma, Satish Dhoundiyal, Manmohan Kandwal, and a large number of other citizens.
