New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that only the BJP-led NDA can fulfill the vision of a ‘Developed Kerala,’ following his visit to the poll-bound state. He also said that the UDF and LDF have no interest in the state’s development.
In a post on X, PM Modi wrote that his visit to Thiruvananthapuram on Friday was memorable. He said that only the BJP-NDA can fulfill the dream of a developed Kerala, while the UDF and LDF have no interest in development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new trains, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains and one passenger train, and laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects in Thiruvananthapuram.
Addressing a gathering in Thiruvananthapuram, the Prime Minister lauded the BJP’s historic victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation elections, saying it marked the end of decades of neglect by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the beginning of a new era of development and good governance. PM Modi strongly criticized both parties for perpetuating corruption and mismanagement. He said that both the LDF and UDF, in their own ways, have pushed Kerala into a cycle of corruption, mismanagement, and appeasement politics.
Taking a dig at both parties, he said that even though they use different flags and symbols, their internal political methods and agenda are almost identical. He said that both parties are characterized by rampant corruption, a lack of accountability, and the promotion of divisive communalism.
PM Modi said that both parties know very well that they get a chance to form the government every five years, yet the core issues remain unaddressed. Prime Minister Modi further stated that for decades, both the LDF and UDF parties have neglected Thiruvananthapuram, depriving the city of basic amenities and infrastructure. He said that the Left and Congress have consistently failed to address the needs of the people.
Prime Minister Modi added that, on the other hand, the BJP team has already begun working towards a developed Thiruvananthapuram. He assured the people of Thiruvananthapuram that the change they have long awaited is finally coming.
