New Delhi: A two-day workshop of BJP MPs has been organized for the Vice President election in the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament complex. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the workshop on Sunday, the first day of the workshop. During this, he sat in the last row in the Sabhagar like an ordinary member.
Prime Minister Modi later shared pictures of attending the ‘workshop’ on Twitter. He wrote, participated in the ‘MP Workshop’ organized in Delhi. MP colleagues and other senior leaders from all over India exchanged their valuable views on various issues.
He further said that in our party, platforms like ‘MP Workshop’ are important as they are great platforms to learn from each other and discuss how we can serve the people better.
Earlier, BJP MP from Gorakhpur, UP, Ravi Kishan shared a picture of PM Modi on Twitter, in which he is seen sitting with BJP MPs on the last seat in the hall. The BJP MP wrote in the post that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sat in the last row in the workshop of BJP MPs. This is the power of the BJP organization. Every worker is equal here.
According to media reports, a unanimous resolution was passed in the workshop of BJP MPs supporting the GST reforms of the Central Government. Also, PM Modi was welcomed for the reduction in GST rates.
The recent GST reforms are being described as a major reform in India’s indirect tax system. In the GST Council meeting held on September 3, approval was given to abolish two tax slabs. After which only two GST slabs – 5 percent and 18 percent will be in practice. While a new tax slab of 40 percent has been approved.
According to the report, the workshop of BJP MPs is to be held in four sessions and in this, MPs will be trained for 100 percent voting in the Vice Presidential election. Voting for the Vice Presidential election is to be held on September 9.
Competition between CP Radhakrishnan and Sudarshan Reddy
In the Vice Presidential election, NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan and opposition alliance India Block candidate Justice (Retd.) B. There will be a direct contest between Sudarshan Reddy. Both candidates are from South India. Radhakrishnan is from Tamil Nadu and Reddy is from Telangana. Radhakrishnan (67) was a two-time Lok Sabha member from Coimbatore during the tenure of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Later he also served as the president of the BJP state unit in Tamil Nadu. He is currently the Governor of Maharashtra.
