Dehradun: BJP has released the list of candidates for Panchayat Pramukhs. The names of 63 candidates have been included in the first list for the posts of 89 block pramukhs in 12 districts. Let us tell you that in view of the Uttarakhand three-tier Panchayat elections, the process of voting for the posts of Member Gram Panchayat, Pradhan Gram Panchayat, Member Kshetra Panchayat and Member District Panchayat was completed in two phases on 24 and 28 July in 12 districts of the state. With this, the counting process started on 31 July. In such a situation, now the State Election Commission has issued a notification for the election to the posts of District Panchayat President and Vice President as well as the heads of area panchayats, senior deputy chiefs and junior deputy chiefs. According to the notification issued by the State Election Commission, the voting process will be completed on August 14 from 10 am to 3 pm. After this, the counting process will start on August 14 itself.
BJP has won a total of 122 seats in the Panchayat elections. At the same time, 80 candidates of Congress have also won the elections. BJP had fielded 315 supported candidates for the District Panchayat member. At the same time, Congress had 198 authorized supported candidates. Apart from this, Congress had given its support to 32 other candidates. Now BJP is saying that they have won not 122 but 216 seats of District Panchayat member. Congress also says that they have got 160 seats of District Panchayat member, not 80. Congress believes that there are many such independent candidates.
