Dehradun Police and STF today jointly exposed an illegal casino. The casino was being run illegally in a house in the middle of Saliyawala forest. Police have arrested 12 people including the house owner. 1900 casino coins, Rs 89000 cash and 12 mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
During interrogation, the people who came from Delhi told that they have come to Dehradun for the first time. They are fond of gambling in casinos, for which they go to different states. All of them were in contact with Dehradun resident Shashank (landlord), Umesh Rawat and Vikram Shah and other people, after talking to whom the accused made a plan to come to Dehradun and gamble in the casino.
The accused do not keep much cash with them in gambling, the transaction of money is talked about on the word of one person only. The house owner and other people of Dehradun told that the people who came from Delhi are their friends.
