Actress Urmila Sanawar’s troubles are mounting. Despite repeated notices being sent to her in cases registered at different police stations, she has failed to appear before the police, and now preparations are underway to take strict action against her. On Thursday, two separate teams of Haridwar police reached Saharanpur and pasted notices at Urmila’s residence. If she fails to appear within the stipulated time, the process of obtaining an arrest warrant will be initiated.
According to the police, notices have been issued against Urmila Sanawar in cases registered at Jwalapur Kotwali and Jhabrera police stations. Earlier, she had also been sent a notice in another case registered at Bahadrabad police station, but she has not yet joined the investigation. The police are taking her failure to appear despite three notices very seriously. Given the sensitivity of the matter, state-level agencies have also become involved.
The controversy deepened after Dushyant Gautam’s name was mentioned.
The STF (Special Task Force) has also been tasked with searching for Urmila. The controversy erupted after an audio clip surfaced involving former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore, who was expelled from the party, and actress Urmila Sanawar, who claims to be his wife. The controversy deepened after BJP state in-charge Dushyant Gautam’s name was mentioned in connection with the Ankita Bhandari murder case in the audio clip.
Following this, Dharmendra Kumar, president of the Shiromani Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth, filed a case against Urmila Sanawar and Suresh Rathore at the Bahadrabad police station. The police then started an investigation and sent a notice to Urmila.
Now, with notices also being pasted in cases registered at Jwalapur and Jhabrera police stations, the police’s stance has become even stricter. If Urmila Sanawar does not appear before the police within two days, action will be taken to obtain an arrest warrant from the court.
