The Dehradun police have launched a thorough investigation into allegations of blackmail and spreading obscenity against Urmila Sanawar, who claims former MLA Suresh Rathore as her husband, using the Ankita Bhandari murder case as a pretext. According to the police, serious allegations such as inciting the public on social media, criminal use of artificial intelligence, and blackmail are being leveled in this case, therefore, an investigation into every aspect is necessary.
SSP Ajay Singh has given clear instructions to the investigating officer to meticulously examine all of Urmila’s previous social media videos and the cases registered against her.
Further legal action will be taken soon after questioning all the concerned parties. The Nehru Colony police are also contacting the Saharanpur police in this matter, where former District Panchayat member Aarti Gaur has already filed a case against Urmila.
In the second case registered at the Nehru Colony police station on Wednesday, Aarti stated that Urmila is making baseless videos against her because of the previous case. It is alleged that she is being threatened with the creation and circulation of obscene videos using artificial intelligence. Attempts are also being made to instigate her to commit suicide.
Police to send viral audio-video to FSL lab for examination
After registering a First Information Report (FIR) in the case of viral audio-video related to the Ankita Bhandari murder case on social media, the police have intensified the investigation. Preparations have also begun to include the viral video and audio in the investigation and send them to the FSL lab. Station House Officer Ankur Sharma said that the investigation is underway and the audio-video will also be examined.
