After speaking with Ankita Bhandari’s parents, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a major decision. CM Dhami has recommended a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) inquiry into the Ankita case. The central government will now make the final decision on this matter.
CM Dhami said that as soon as the incident came to light, the state government acted with complete sensitivity and impartiality without any delay. Considering the seriousness of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was immediately formed under the leadership of a female IPS officer. All the accused involved in the case were promptly arrested, and effective and strong legal representation was ensured by the state government. The accused are now behind bars.
