Following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) at the Dalanwala police station based on a complaint by BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, those who made objectionable comments on controversial posts related to Ankita Bhandari are also under investigation. In the FIR, Gautam alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to incite riots in Uttarakhand and defame the BJP through controversial posts on various social media platforms using Ankita’s name.
The police have begun collecting digital evidence in response to this allegation. Those who shared Urmila’s and other posts related to Ankita and made controversial comments are the first to be investigated. The police will investigate the motives behind their posts and comments. Senior police officers have instructed that concrete evidence be gathered to corroborate the allegations made by BJP leader Dushyant Gautam. The instructions state that any attempts to disrupt peace and order or tarnish the image of any political party or individual should be thoroughly investigated.
According to sources, the investigating officer is examining all relevant social media handles and posts in the initial stages of the investigation. The police are primarily focused on securing evidence directly related to the allegations mentioned in the FIR. Sources indicate that after collecting the digital evidence, the police may issue notices to the concerned individuals for questioning.
