Let us tell you that the torrential rains in the first week of August have created a scene of devastation in Pabau and Thalisain area. While rivers and drains overflowed due to continuous rain for several hours, the main bridge between Pabau-Paithani was washed away. Due to the collapse of the bridge, the entire area has been completely cut off from other areas. Due to which the villagers are facing huge difficulties.
Many incidents of landslides and debris falling have been reported due to rain. During this time, three women died a painful death after being buried under the debris. Apart from this, five workers engaged in construction work suddenly got caught in the debris and went missing. The relief and rescue team has been searching for the missing workers for the last several days. But no trace of them has been found so far.
Due to the disaster, basic facilities like roads, electricity and drinking water have also been badly affected in the area. Villagers say that electricity supply in many villages has been stalled for the last several days. At the same time, there is a huge shortage of drinking water. Due to the broken bridge, there is also difficulty in delivering essential materials and medical services.
