Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand): Due to continuous rain for the last three months, the road connecting the border area Munsiyari gets closed every now and then. This road remains closed most of the time during rainy days. Due to the closure of roads after rain, four youths from Rajasthan reached Himnagari by helicopter to give the Uttarakhand Open University exam. After giving the exam, all these youths returned by helicopter. These youths had to spend more than 40 thousand rupees to attend this exam. The youths said that the money was spent, but one year was saved from being wasted.
The B.Ed exam of Uttarakhand Open University was to be held four days ago on Wednesday. For this, Omaram Jat, Magaram Jat, Prakash Godara Jat and Narpat Kumar, originally from Balotra, Rajasthan, had to reach the examination center Munsiyari Mahavidyalaya. Two days ago they reached Haldwani. Where they got information that the roads are closed at many places after the landslide. In such a situation, they started worrying about missing the exam. After this, they contacted the company that runs the Haldwani-Munsiyari helicopter service.
These four youths told the company that runs the helicopter service about their exam. Omaram Jat said that with the help of the company, he came to Munsiyari on the 4th. After which he appeared in the exam. On Thursday, all four youths returned to Haldwani by helicopter. He thanked CEO Rohit Mathur and pilot Pratap Singh for providing the helicopter service.
UOU’s examination in-charge Somesh Kumar said that Mahavidyalaya Munsiyari was made the center for Uttarakhand Open University’s B.Ed. examination. Where all four students appeared for the examination. He said that for UOU examination, students themselves choose the examination center. He said that all four students are residents of Rajasthan.
Fare from Munsiyari to Haldwani is 5 thousand two hundred: Heli service has been running from Haldwani to Munsiyari for the last one year. The fare for one person is Rs. 5,200. The students who came to take the exam had to spend Rs. 10,400 on their travel. Now these four students are in the news.
