Almora:-The written examination for the posts of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Aog was concluded peacefully on Sunday. Out of a total of 2419 candidates registered at eight centres in the district, 1742 appeared for the exam, while 677 candidates did not appear.
Out of 312 candidates registered in Arya Kanya Inter College Almora, 240 appeared for the exam while 72 were absent. 355 candidates were registered in RASGGIC, 264 appeared for the exam while 91 were absent. Out of 288 candidates registered in RAMJ Inter College, 217 appeared for the exam, 71 were absent.
There were 240 students registered at the Spring Dells School. 174 appeared for the exam, 66 were absent. Out of 288 registered in the SSJ campus lower campus, 216 appeared for the exam, 72 were absent. Out of 288 registered in the middle campus, 189 appeared for the exam, 99 were absent. There were 288 candidates registered in the upper campus, out of which 218 appeared for the exam, 70 were absent. Out of the 360 registered in Vivekananda Inter College Ranidhara, 224 appeared for the exam while 136 were absent. The exam was held from 11 am to 1 pm. Adequate police force was deployed at the examination centres in view of security. In-charge CEO Atresh Sayana said the examination was conducted peacefully in all the centres.
