Udham Singh Nagar District Incharge and Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi arrived in Pantnagar today. He reviewed preparations for the grand Farmers’ Conference to be held at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, on November 7th, as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the formation of the state of Uttarakhand.
During a site inspection of the Pantnagar University Stadium with officials, Minister Joshi took detailed information about the ongoing arrangements at the venue and directed them to ensure all preparations for the event are completed in a timely and quality manner. He stated that this conference will be a historic opportunity for the state’s farmers, providing them with information about new technologies, innovations, and schemes in the field of agriculture.
Minister Joshi stated that the Farmers’ Conference is being organized in collaboration with the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Development, Fisheries, Dairy, Cooperatives, Animal Husbandry, Mandi Parishad, and Pantnagar University. He stated that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, progressive farmers, and a large number of farmers will participate in the conference.
The Agriculture Minister stated that special arrangements are being made to ensure a grand event. Approximately 25,000 to 30,000 participants are expected to attend the conference. A large exhibition of agriculture and related departments will also be held on this occasion, providing farmers with information on advanced agricultural techniques, modern equipment, seeds, and schemes.
Minister Joshi stated that the state government is continuously striving towards the goal of doubling farmers’ income. He urged officials to work together to make this conference useful and inspiring for farmers. He directed officials to pay special attention to traffic management, drinking water, sanitation, seating arrangements, parking, security, and all other arrangements to ensure participants are not inconvenienced.
