Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi held a meeting of the Uttarakhand Agricultural Produce Marketing Board at the Rudrapur Mandi today. During the meeting, Minister Joshi took detailed information about the development work being carried out in the Mandi premises and provided necessary guidance to the officials.
Instructing to pay special attention to the cleanliness of the Mandi, the Minister said that the Mandi is a hub for smooth functioning for both farmers and traders, therefore cleanliness and orderliness should be paramount.
He also directed to expedite the preparation of proposals regarding the shifting and modernization of the Mandis. Minister Joshi stated that the state government’s objective is to provide better marketing facilities to farmers to increase their income. He also directed to ensure the upgradation of Mandis and modern facilities, safe storage, weighing, transportation, and marketing of agricultural produce.
