The Special Task Force (STF) has uncovered a connection between a controversial property dealer from Haridwar and two shooters of notorious gangster Sunil Rathi, who is currently lodged in Pauri jail and was arrested. The STF’s preliminary investigation revealed Rathi’s close and constant contact with the property dealer. The dealer is now on the STF’s radar and could soon be arrested.
According to the STF, late Thursday night, Bhanu Chaudhary, a resident of Miles New Colony, Sadar Police Station, Saharanpur, and Paras, a resident of Prempuri, Kotwali Police Station, Muzaffarnagar, were arrested. Two illegal pistols, cartridges, and a car were recovered from them. The STF revealed that Paras had previously been a key shooter for the Mukhtar Ansari and Sanjeev Jiva gangs.
After the deaths of the two, Sunil Rathi joined the gang. At Rathi’s behest, he was extorting money for Rathi by interfering in valuable disputed lands in Haridwar and Dehradun. He was also in constant contact with Rathi. According to the STF, the name of a controversial property dealer from Haridwar also surfaced during the interrogation. The dealer has previously been jailed for a high-profile murder case. The court sentenced him, but he is currently out on bail.
It was revealed that the property dealer was in constant contact with Sunil Rathi. His closeness to Rathi dates back to his time in Haridwar jail. He was also targeted in an extortion case. Now, with the dealer’s closeness to the notorious Sunil Rathi exposed, the local police and intelligence agencies have become active. The Special Task Force (STF) has also taken him on its radar.
