As part of the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar” (Healthy Women Empowered Family) campaign, a special health and blood donation camp was organized at the Secretariat on Monday under the aegis of the Health Department and the Secretariat Association. The camp was inaugurated by Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan. A total of 450 people registered and availed health services at the camp, and 93 people also donated blood.
The Chief Secretary stated that the health and blood donation camp organized at the Secretariat during the Seva Pakhwada is an important initiative by the Health Department and the Secretariat Association. He urged all Secretariat employees and their families to take advantage of the camp. He commended the Health Department and the Secretariat Association for organizing the health camp, stating that such events greatly benefit the general public. The Chief Secretary commended the blood donors at the camp, stating that such efforts should always be encouraged.
Health services were provided at the camp by specialist doctors, paramedical staff, and technicians from the Health Department and Doon Medical College. The camp also provided free medical checkups and medication distribution for various types of patients.
Health checkups were conducted by physicians, surgeons, ENT specialists, orthopedics, obstetrics, ophthalmology, dermatology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and physiotherapy specialists. 396 blood and diabetes-related tests were conducted, along with 175 ECGs.

Rajesh Kumar, Director General of Health Dr. Sunita Tamta, Director Dr. Shikha Jangpangi, Principal of Doon Medical College Dr. Geeta Jain, Director of Medical Education Dr. Ajay Arya, Nodal Officer Dr. Vimlesh Joshi, Dr. Amit Shukla, Dr. Ravindra Rana, Dr. KC Pant, Dr. Anil Arya, Secretariat Association President Sunil Lakheda, General Secretary Rakesh Joshi, and other officials.
