Following the acquisition of the ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminal) complex by the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA), extensive improvement works have progressed rapidly. Beautification, cleanliness, upgrading of passenger amenities, and initiatives such as a children’s park have been undertaken at the ISBT bus terminal, keeping in mind the convenience, safety, and experience of passengers. These facilities are being appreciated by travelers from across the country. The MDDA aims to include the ISBT bus terminal among the top ten modern bus terminals in the country, so that it can become a center of transportation as well as a landmark for the city.

A multiplex has opened today at the MDDA’s ISBT mall. The company, Micromultiplex, was selected through a tender process and has begun operating the cinema. Now, passengers and city residents can enjoy travel, shopping, and entertainment all in one complex. In the coming days, a shopping mall, various shops, and food corners will also be opened. The MDDA aims to develop the ISBT Dehradun mall into a modern, well-organized, and multi-purpose facility center.

MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari said that the overall development of the ISBT complex is a priority for the authority. The improvement works being carried out at the bus terminal and mall aim to provide world-class facilities to passengers. The opening of the multiplex will promote entertainment as well as economic activity. In the future, shopping, food corners, and other facilities will be introduced to develop the complex into a modern transit-cum-commercial hub. He said that the MDDA is committed to expanding public facilities and planned urban development.

MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia said that the multiplex has been started in a transparent manner by the company selected through the tender process. New facilities will be added to the ISBT mall in a phased manner, which will benefit both passengers and local citizens. He stated that continuous monitoring is being carried out on hygiene, safety, and operational standards to maintain the quality of services.
