A human skeleton was found on Tuesday near Chorabari lake, four km above Kedarnath. The skeleton is very old. The Yatra Management Force took the skeleton into its possession and took it to Kedarnath. After police action on Wednesday, it will be sent to District Hospital Rudraprayag for further tests.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Kedarnath Sector Magistrate received information that a skeleton was lying near the lake in Chorabari area. On receiving the information, Sector Magistrate Navjot Singh reached Chorabari with the soldiers of the Yatra Management Force and the skeleton was collected.
An ID card has also been found near the skeleton, which belongs to Nomul Rishwant Care of Nomul Ganesh, Ibrahimpatnam, Mandal Rajeshwar Raopet, Karimnagar, Telangana. The ID card is of Lovely Professional University, which is of 2022.
District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that the skeleton was collected and brought to Kedarnath late in the evening, where after completing the necessary formalities, it is being sent to District Hospital Rudraprayag for further action.
Looking at the condition of the skeleton, it seems that it is at least two to three months old. He said that more information is being gathered in the case. The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have also been informed
