There was a stir in Dehradun Rajpur police station area due to the information of firing late night outside a restaurant at a short distance from Mussoorie diversion. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police team of police station Rajpur immediately reached the spot. Where the police found a young man in an injured condition. The injured youth was immediately sent to Max Hospital by ambulance.
The injured youth has been identified as Sambhav Gurung, son Shivraj Gurung, resident of Anarwala, Dehradun. Initial investigation revealed that Sambhav Gurung had gone to a restaurant with some of his friends to eat, where he had a dispute with two youths and a girl over something.
The dispute escalated outside the restaurant as well. Meanwhile, when some of Sambhav’s friends gathered at the spot, a youth from the other side fired in the air with the intention of intimidating. Sambhav was seriously injured due to the bullet.
The police have registered a case on the basis of the written complaint given by the family members of the injured in Rajpur police station. The police have identified the accused who fired the shot and teams have been sent to possible hideouts for his arrest.
