Due to the circumstances arising out of the seniority dispute of teachers under the School Education Department, the government will now give the benefit of interim promotion to the teachers. For this, the departmental officers have been instructed to complete all the formalities, and have also been asked to file a concrete reply in the court after consulting the law department. Apart from this, instructions were also given to the officers for the speedy disposal of transfer cases under Section-27.
State School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a review meeting of the Education Department in the assembly hall of the Vidhan Sabha today. In which he discussed in detail with the officials on all aspects related to the promotion of teachers. Dr. Rawat said that the intention of the government is to give the benefit of promotion to all eligible teachers as soon as possible, but the case of seniority dispute is pending in the court. He said that the government has decided to give the benefit of interim promotion to eligible teachers till the seniority list is determined. For this, the departmental officers have been instructed to file a concrete and factual reply in the court after taking proper consultation from the law department. Dr. Rawat said that due to non-promotion of teachers, teaching and evaluation work in schools is getting adversely affected, the brunt of which is being borne by the students. In the review meeting, the departmental minister Dr. Rawat directed the officials to expedite the transfer process of teachers suffering from Section-27 and incurable diseases. He said that the proposal for transfer under Section-27 should be made available to the government soon so that the teachers can be transferred on time. Apart from this, in the meeting, he directed the officials to reorganize the administrative structure of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Education and Training Institutes (DIET), adjust the majority of teachers in upper primary schools, upgrade one school in each assembly, prepare the syllabus of classes 1 to 8 in accordance with NEP-2020 and send the proposal for reconstruction/repair of D category schools to NABARD soon.
