Patna: Today is the fifth day of the Mahagathbandhan’s Voter Rights Yatra against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar. Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav will start this journey from Teen Mohini Durga Temple in Sheikhpura at 8 am.
Worship will be done in Teen Mohini Durga Temple: Before starting the journey, Tejashwi Yadav will worship at Teen Mohini Durga Temple. After this the journey will start. The morning break will be at Ramgarh Chowk Lakhisarai, while the lunch break will also be at Gandhi Maidan in Lakhisarai.
The journey will start again at 4 pm: After 4 pm, the journey will start again from the petrol pump located at the market committee in Lakhisarai, which will continue till late evening. At 7:30 pm, the journey will break in Hemjapur and Jamalpur assembly constituency Munger.
Rahul Gandhi will have a night rest here: On the fifth day of the Voter Rights Yatra, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav along with other leaders will have a night rest at Safiabad Airport Ground in Munger. After the night rest, the journey will start again the next day.
One day break was taken: After a three-day journey, a one-day break was given to the Voter Rights Yatra on the fourth day. There will be two more breaks in this 16-day journey. In which the second break will be on 25 August and the third break will be on 31 August.
Voter Rights Yatra is being done regarding SIR: Before the Bihar Assembly elections, the Election Commission is targeting the India Alliance regarding the intensive revision of the voter list in Bihar by the Election Commission. Opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav allege that there is a conspiracy to remove the names of Bihar voters from the voter list in the name of SIR.
Allegation of removing the names of voters: The Election Commission is being accused of removing the names of more than 65 lakh voters of Bihar as part of a conspiracy. Against this, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have set out on the Voter Officer Yatra.
The Yatra started on 17th August: Let us tell you that on 17th August, the Voter Rights Yatra started from Sasaram (Gandhi Maidan) of Rohtas, where Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders of the Mahagathbandhan protested against the SIR of the Election Commission.
