Reservation of District Panchayat Presidents released
After settling the objections on the provisional notification, the Panchayati Raj Department on Wednesday released the final reservation of District Panchayat President posts in 12 districts. There was no change in it. For the first time, the Panchayati Raj Department has implemented the recommendations of a single-member dedicated commission constituted for OBC reservation in panchayats. Accordingly, reservation of posts from the head of the Gram Panchayat to the District Panchayat was determined. Secretary Panchayati Raj Chandresh Kumar issued a provisional notification on August 1 and sought objections on it. Between August 2 and 5, 42 objections came from across the state. There were maximum objections from Dehradun, which were resolved by the committee on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Secretary Panchayati Raj released the final reservation. Now the State Election Commission will conduct the elections according to this.
