The Tourism Department has started the survey of the holding capacity of tourists from Kainchi Dham. After this, the holding capacity will be assessed in Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi, Purnagiri temple as well as Piran Kalian.
After the stampede accident at Mansa Devi temple, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given instructions to ensure the holding capacity and other facilities for crowd management in the major temples of the state. The Tourism Department has started the survey from Kainchi Dham to assess the holding capacity. NPR and CCTV cameras were installed by the department in the Kainchi Dham area. The departmental team is also continuously monitoring.
Tourism Secretary Dhiraj Garbyal said that a survey of the holding capacity will be conducted for crowd management in all the major temples of the state. It has been started from Kainchi Dham. In the survey, it will be ascertained how many devotees or tourists are coming to visit the temple in a day. Apart from this, what is the number of vehicles. After assessing the holding capacity, registration of devotees for darshan at Kainchi Dham will be implemented.
