Rudraprayag: After the opening of Kedarnath foot pilgrimage route, a crowd of devotees has gathered in Kedarnath. On the third Monday of Sawan in the mountains, there was a gathering of devotees in Shiva temples. Whereas, devotees reached Kedarnath Dham in large numbers to perform Jalabhishek of Kedar Baba and stood in line for the darshan of Baba Kedar since morning.
Devotees were seen desperate for Jalabhishek in Kedarnath: Let us tell you that the Kedarnath Yatra route was closed due to the hill breaking at some distance from Gaurikund. The workers of Public Works Department Guptkashi have currently made the route suitable for walking, due to which the devotees have also breathed a sigh of relief. Overcoming the obstacle of rain, landslides and difficult climb, devotees reached in large numbers to perform Jalabhishek of Baba Kedar on the occasion of Sawan Monday.
There is no lack of faith despite rain and cold: Since morning, thousands of devotees were seen standing in line waiting for the darshan of Baba Kedar. Due to the continuous bad weather, Kedarnath is more affected by cold these days. Despite this, there is no lack of faith of the devotees. The faces of local businessmen are also blooming due to the crowd of devotees in Baba Kedarnath Dham. At the same time, devotees who came from far and wide were also seen drenched in devotion.
Crowd of Shiva devotees also gathered in these temples: At the same time, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in other famous Shiva temples of Rudraprayag district on the third Monday of Sawan month. Despite bad weather, devotees reached Shiva temples in large numbers. Crowd of devotees gathered in all the temples including Madmaheshwar, Tungnath, Vishwanath, Omkareshwar, Triyuginarayan, Ruch Mahadev, Kalishila, Kalimath, Agastya, Koteshwar Mahadev, Suryaprayag, Lata Baba, Rudranath, Umranarayan.

Sawan is the favorite month of Lord Shiva: It is believed that the month of Sawan is very dear to Lord Shiva. Whoever worships, prays and offers water to Lord Shiva in this month, all his wishes are fulfilled. This is the reason why Shiva devotees reach Gangotri along with Haridwar to collect Ganga water in Sawan. From where the devotees take Ganga water and offer it in their respective Shiva temples.
