This time the Chardham Yatra has started from 30 April. Pilgrims visiting Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham including Hemkund Sahib faced challenges of bad weather. But the steps of the devotees did not stop in front of faith. According to the data of the Tourism Department, more than 41 lakh pilgrims have visited Chardham and Hemkund Sahib from 30 April to 27 July. Which is more than last year.
Yogiendra Gangwar, nodal officer of Yatra registration, said that Chardham Yatra is going on smoothly. More than two thousand registrations are being done offline every day for the Yatra. Devotees have the facility of offline registration at the registration centers in Haridwar, Herbertpur, Rishikesh, Vikasnagar.
