Changur had spread a big network of conversion in Dehradun. In the investigation of the case registered in Ranipokhari, the name of another girl from Premnagar has come to the fore, who was influenced by Changur’s henchmen. After converting this girl, originally from Bareilly, to Islam, Changur’s henchmen were preparing to send her to Dubai. She was being taught Islam by the clerics of Pakistan.
For this, the girl was also made to send money to Pakistan via Dubai. After all the facts came to light, a case has been registered in Premnagar police station on Saturday. Six people including Abdur Rehman of Sahaspur have been named. SSP Ajay Singh said that on July 17, Uttar Pradesh ATS had contacted the police regarding Abdur Rehman. After preliminary interrogation, ATS arrested him and took him to Agra. Meanwhile, when the Dehradun police investigated, it was found that he had tried to convert a girl from Ranipokhari. Preparations were being made to take her from here to Delhi. On July 18, the police started investigation by registering a case under the Religious Freedom Act on the complaint of the girl’s family.
The girl was named Maryam to convert to Islam. When Maryam was questioned, she gave more information about this gang. It was learned that this gang has also deceived a girl named Sumaiya, who was studying in Premnagar. Attempts are being made to convert her religion as well. The name Sumaiya has also been given to her by the Changur gang. Sumaiya has studied from Kendriya Vidyalaya. She did BSc in Mathematics and then got a Masters degree in Fine Arts. While living in Bareilly, she was in contact with a Muslim girl. She taught her Kalma in 2022 on the phone and said that now she has become a Muslim.
She was given all kinds of temptations by telling her good things about Islam. After this, she was made to meet some girls and boys of Kashmir through the Zoom app. In this, she was given religious education. After this, she was added to a group in Pakistan and started getting Islamic education from the clerics of Pakistan. The cleric of Pakistan promised to give her free education but Sumaiya wanted to pay him.
For this, she was put in touch with local goons. They first sent her money to Dubai and then from there to this cleric of Pakistan. The SSP said that after all this came to light, the police and her family members counseled Sumaiya. It has been found that the gang was going to send her to Dubai via Delhi. There she was to be married to a Muslim youth. After this, a case was registered in Premnagar police station on the complaint of her brother.

The game of religious conversion in the Pakistani online Ludo game
Sumaiya told the police that she had downloaded the Pakistani mobile app Ludo Star on the instructions of the gang. She started playing Ludo with people from Pakistan. She also started talking to them. In the course of the conversation, the Pakistanis started talking about Islam. Knowing that Sumaya is interested in Islam, they started welcoming her warmly. She started feeling that she is like a celebrity. She started getting immense pleasure from this. Gradually, she became more inclined towards Islam. During this time, she came in contact with Maulvi Tanveer Ahmed, a resident of Pakistan, who started teaching her Islam for free.
Sulaiman of Dehradun contacted Sumaiya, sent money to Pakistan
Sumaiya did not want to take free education from the Maulvi. So she was introduced to Sulaiman. SSP told that Sulaiman is a resident of Kanwali in Dehradun and lives in Dubai. He told Sumaiya that if she deposited money directly in the Maulvi’s account, she would come under suspicion. In such a situation, he told Sumaiya that some other people from India also want to send money to the Maulvi. Sulaiman deposited this money in Sumaiya’s account and got it sent to Dubai. From here, Sulaiman sent money to the Maulvi in Pakistan. SSP told that this transaction has also been confirmed in the investigation.
