Among them, a person named Abdul Rehman was also taken by the UP ATS for questioning on Thursday. The police have now taken this action on the complaint of a businessman from Ranipokhari area. The accused had also tried to convert his daughter. This racket is being run through Instagram
SSP Ajay Singh said that the UP ATS had contacted the Doon Police. The ATS had detained Abdul Rehman and a girl named Maryam from Doiwala for questioning. Based on this information, the Dehradun Police also formed its team and started an in-depth investigation of the case. During this, some suspicious Instagram IDs were monitored. STF was also technically assisted in this work
When the Instagram ID related to Uttarakhand was investigated, it turned out to be of a girl from Ranipokhari area. It was found that this girl was in contact with Abdul Rehman who was detained from Shankarpur. When she was questioned, she provided all this information to the police. On this, her businessman father was informed about this. On his complaint, a case has been registered under the Religious Freedom Act against Abdul Rehman, resident of Shankarpur, Sahaspur, Abu Talib, resident of Muzaffarnagar, Ayan and Aman, residents of Connaught Place, Delhi and Shweta, a young woman from Goa. Police teams have been sent to all these places.
The girl’s behavior was changing
The SSP told that the businessman’s daughter is 21 years old. He told that his daughter’s behavior seemed to have changed for many days. When he got suspicious, he questioned the daughter. It was found that she was in contact with some Muslim boys and girls, who were trying to convert her religion by giving her all kinds of temptations. When he checked his daughter’s phone, he saw similar videos on many accounts in which the accused had said that their religion was superior while talking about their religion in an irregular manner.
