Dehradun: Uttarakhand Forest Department is going to start a special campaign to establish Rudraksh forest across the state. Through this campaign, areas will be identified across the state where Rudraksh plants will be planted. For this, a framework has also been prepared in the Forest Department, so that this program can be established at the identified place with a precise strategy.
The Forest Department in the state is choosing only spiritual places for this. Under this program, those places are being identified and decided which have special spiritual significance. However, there are many such areas in Uttarakhand, which have special spiritual significance in themselves. In this, special care will also be taken of the survival places of Rudraksh plants. Amrit Sarovar has also been prepared by the Forest Department at many places in the state. In this regard, the areas around Amrit Sarovar will also be prepared as Rudraksh forest.
The reason behind this is that there is adequate water arrangement at the places where the forest department has built Amrit Sarovar and there will be no shortage of water in setting up Rudraksh forest at these places. Chief Forest Conservator Half Sameer Sinha says that the forest department is preparing for Harela and in view of this, a decision has also been taken to set up Rudraksh gardens. At present, the work of selecting sites is being done for this, as soon as the sites are selected in this, after that efforts will be made to prepare these areas as Rudraksh forest by planting Rudraksh saplings.
