Rudraprayag: These days, the number of devotees has started increasing in Kedarnath Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Kanwariyas are also carrying water from various places and reaching Kedarnath Dham and performing Jalabhishek of Baba Kedar. On Monday, a large number of Kanwar pilgrims reached the Dham and performed Jalabhishek of Baba Kedar. With the arrival of pilgrims, the desolation that had spread to the Dham and the Yatra halts has started to go away. On the other hand, till now more than 13 lakh 35 thousand devotees have visited Baba Kedar.
Due to continuous rain, the Sonprayag-Gaurikund motor route was getting obstructed at many places. While the Kedarnath walking route was also facing landslides. These days the weather has given some relief. It is raining, but the sun is shining brightly throughout the day. After which the yatra is not getting interrupted and a good number of pilgrims are reaching Kedarnath and doing the darshan and Jalabhishek of Baba Kedar. On the other hand, the month of Shravan has not yet started in the mountains, but the Sawan of the Kanwar pilgrims has started and on Monday, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in Kedarnath Dham.
A large number of Kanwar pilgrims reached for the darshan of Baba Kedar. Here, the administration as well as the police are alert regarding the yatra and the weather. The Meteorological Department is constantly alerting. In such a situation, security arrangements have also been made. Additional deployment of security personnel has been done at the danger zones. Tirtha Purohit Santosh Trivedi said that as soon as the month of Sawan started, the crowd of devotees has started gathering. A large number of devotees are reaching Kedarnath Dham. He said that all wishes are fulfilled by offering Brahma Kamal to Lord Shankar in the month of Sawan.
