Monitoring system will be high tech, Municipal Corporation will create technology based fair checking system, not human based. Taking an important initiative in the field of cleanliness and effective waste management, Municipal Corporation Dehradun is setting up an Integrated Control and Command Center (ICCC). This center has been specially developed for monitoring and management of door-to-door garbage collection system and garbage processing plants. It will have a real time alert based system of garbage collection vehicles. Through this state-of-the-art center, tracking of garbage collection vehicles, punctuality, route follow-up, attendance of employees, analysis of collection data and real time monitoring of garbage processing status will be done. Its objective is to make the garbage management system more transparent, accountable and efficient. Municipal Commissioner Madam informed that this will not only improve cleanliness, but will also help in quick resolution of citizens’ complaints. Also, this initiative will lead Dehradun towards clean, smart and sustainable development.
