Dehradun: May rains have broken the records of the last three years. While half of May is still left. If there is more rain in the coming days, then it is expected to break the records of many years of May.
So far in the month of May, the airport’s meteorological department has recorded a total of 80 mm of rainfall. Earlier in May 2021, 152.4 mm of rainfall was recorded at the airport. There are still light clouds in the sky. The temperature which reached 39 degrees due to rain had come down to 37 and 35 a few days ago.
There will be relief from heat due to change in weather
On May 16 and 17, there is a possibility of relief from heat in most of the districts of the state due to change in weather. Meteorologists say that due to strong winds in the hilly districts, a drop in temperature can be recorded. However, it will not have much effect in the plains. There is a possibility of a drop in temperature in the plains on 16 and 17 May.
The bad weather in the first two weeks of May brought relief from the heat. But the heat continued to increase on the third day as well. At the same time, due to the increase in temperature, hot winds have started bothering during the day. However, there is a possibility of a change in the weather in the coming days. This is expected to bring relief from the heat.
