Nainital Zoo Director and DFO Nainital Forest Division Chandrashekhar Joshi says that necessary steps have been taken taking cognizance of the incident. No such case has come to light yet. But whatever protocols are related to bird flu, they are being followed. The employees have also been alerted. Two doctors are posted in Nainital zoo, they have seen the wildlife. Wildlife is being monitored.
It is known that Nainital zoo is established in about four hectares. At the same time, Ranger Vinod, in-charge of Dehradun zoo, says that chicken has been banned in the food of wildlife in the zoo. Apart from this, the birds which were rescued and brought from outside have also been banned. The staff has also been alerted.
