Rudraprayag: The brakes of a tempo traveller vehicle failed at Panyattal on the Tilwara-Mayali state highway connecting the Chardham Yatra. The driver showed prudence and took the vehicle towards the mountain, due to which the vehicle overturned on the road. The driver was riding in the vehicle along with 12 passengers. Four passengers were injured in the incident. On receiving the information, the rescue team immediately reached the spot and the injured were sent to the district hospital for treatment by 108 emergency service.
According to the information, on Tuesday evening, 13 May, the brakes of HR number 62 A 1309 tempo traveller coming from Mayali towards Tilwara failed at Panyattal. The driver Aman Goswami son of Chandrapal resident Faridabad Haryana showed prudence and took the vehicle uphill towards the mountain to stop it. Due to which the tempo traveller vehicle overturned on the road.
District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that a tempo traveler overturned on the road near village Panyattal near Mayali. The vehicle was carrying a total of 12 passengers and the driver, including 4 men and 8 women, whose age is between 25 to 50, for the journey from Delhi to Kedarnath. One man and three women have been injured in the incident. They have been sent to District Hospital Rudraprayag through 108. All are out of danger.
Businessman dies after being hit by his own vehicle: In Gangolihat of Pithoragarh, businessman Lalit Mehra, age 49, came under the impact of his Scorpio vehicle. He died in the accident. It is being told that he parked his car at Dasaithal and came out. Suddenly the Scorpio started coming towards Dhulan and Lalit ran to stop the car. Due to which he came under the car. In which he was badly injured. The people around took him out from under the car and took him to CHC Gangolihat. Where the doctors gave him first aid and referred him to a higher centre in Pithoragarh. During this, Lalit died on the way.
