Dehradun: Amid India’s Operation Sindoor against terrorism, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed to exercise special vigilance in the border areas of the state.
The Chief Minister held a high-level meeting with Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Home Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Director General of Police Deepam Seth and other senior officers at the State Secretariat on Friday. The Chief Minister inquired about the steps taken and preparations towards security and vigilance amid the recent circumstances. He directed the officers to be fully prepared for every situation and keep the administrative units deployed in the border areas alert.
The officers told the CM that relief and rescue teams have also been kept ready, so that prompt action can be taken if required. During the meeting, the CM directed the Information Department to play an active role to avoid rumors and provide timely information to the public. He said that the safety of the public is paramount, we are ready to deal with any emergency.
Ensure supply of medicines and ration
The CM said that adequate life saving medicines, surgical equipment and other necessary resources should be available in all hospitals. He said that the Food and Civil Supplies Department should ensure the supply of essential food items, ration and drinking water in the state.
