Jolly Grant (Dehradun): After India’s retaliation against Pakistan, many airports in the country have been closed. While air traffic is smooth at Dehradun airport. But high alert has been issued at Doon airport and additional security personnel have been deployed.
Leaves of employees, officers and security forces posted at the airport have been cancelled. People and passengers are being sent forward by conducting search operations in several phases from the toll barrier outside the airport to inside the airport. Other security agencies along with CISF are handling the front.
CISF’s Quick Response Team (QRT) has been deployed at the airport. CISF is patrolling 24 hours in collaboration with the local police. Flights coming from various cities of the country are being operated smoothly. All employees, officers and security personnel posted at the airport have been instructed to remain on high alert 24 hours a day.
Flights were full due to school holidays
On Friday, from morning to evening, all flights going to different cities of the country from the airport were full. There was not a single seat in any flight. Deepak Farswan said that two of his acquaintances had to go to Mumbai. But no ticket was available in any flight to Mumbai. The airport administration said that all flights were full on Friday due to school holidays.
