Badrinath (Chamoli): Dolis of Uddhav, Kuber, Shankaracharya and Gurud have reached Badrinath Dham. The doors of the temple will be opened for devotees tomorrow at 6 am. The temple has been decorated with 40 quintals of flowers.
At the same time, light rain continues in the Dham.
The process of opening the doors of Badrinath Dham has started. Under this, on Friday, with the chanting of Vedic mantras, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya and Badrinath’s Rawal (Chief Priest) Amarnath Namboodri left from Narsingh Temple and reached Yoga Dhyan Badri Temple Pandukeshwar at 2 pm. During this, the Jyotirmath city resonated with the proclamation of Jai Badrivishal and Mangal songs.
On Saturday, the festive palanquin of Kuber and Uddhav, Gadu Ghada Tel Kalash and the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya will leave for Badrinath. The doors of Badrinath temple will be opened for the devotees on May 4 at 6 am. On Friday, special prayers were held in Jyotirmath Narsingh temple since morning.
During this time, devotees from outside states also reached the temple for darshan. After the completion of the puja at around 10 am, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Rawal Amarnath Namboodri, Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal as well as Vedpathi Yoga Dhyan Badri temple left for Pandukeshwar.
Women sang Mangal songs and bid farewell to the throne. After seven decades, the festive palanquin of Badrinath’s vehicle Garuda Bhagwan also left for Badrinath Dham.
After getting the approval of BKTC, the idol of Garuda Bhagwan was sent off with the festive palanquin this time. After the completion of the pilgrimage to Badrinath Dham, the idol of Garuda is kept in the treasury of Badrinath for six months.
Dev Pujai Samiti President Anil Namboodiri said that after seven decades, Garuda has been sent to Badrinath again with the Utsav Doli. During winters, regular worship of Garuda will be done in Jyotirmath Narsingh Temple.
