Dehradun: Chardham Yatra has started from today (Wednesday). Green Card and Trip Card will have to be made before coming on the Yatra. Without both of these, no vehicle will be able to go on the Yatra. Before making the Green Card, the pilgrims will have to register on the official website of the Tourism Department. After this, Green Card can be made in any ARTO office. To make it, one has to log in to greencard.uk.gov.in.
RTO and Chardham Yatra Nodal Officer Sandeep Saini said that pilgrims will have to register on the official website of the Tourism Department to come on the Yatra. The work of issuing Green Card has been started for the successful and safe operation of Chardham Yatra.
In such a situation, vehicles and pilgrims from other states will have to make Green Card and drivers will have to make license for mountain routes before going on the Yatra. Apart from this, it is mandatory for drivers coming from other states to verify the list of passengers of the vehicle, mobile number.
It will also be mandatory to provide the name and phone number of the hotel or Dharamshala booked for the passengers’ rest and stay. Apart from this, the driver will also have to show the toll plaza receipt and the message received from the toll plaza at the time of entering Uttarakhand. For this, instructions have been given to all the Assistant Divisional Transport Officers.
