Dehradun: Construction work of roads in Pabau, Khirsu and Thalisain development blocks under Srinagar assembly constituency will be started soon. Many roads that were stuck in the forest department for a long time due to non-objection have received forest clearance. For the speedy construction of such roads, instructions have been given to the officials of Public Works Department and PMGSY to prepare DPR. Apart from this, the officials have also been asked to asphalt and improve various motorways in the area.
Cabinet Minister of the state Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a meeting of Public Works Department and PMGSY at his official residence, in which he reviewed various motorways of his assembly constituency Srinagar and gave directions to the officials. While discussing with the officials on the construction, asphalting, repair and improvement of various motorways of Srinagar, Pabau and Bajron construction blocks, Dr. Rawat said that all the revenue villages of the area should be connected by road. He directed the officials to prepare DPR of the roads which have got forest clearance and make it available to the government within a month. Apart from this, he reviewed the Ufrakhal-Bhatbau-Talla Malla motor road, Gadkhark-Bhagwatitalaiya motor road, Kanaira-Simkholi-Gadola-Dhaund motor road, Maikholi-Devradi-Katudkhal-Daund motor road, Kimwadi motor road, Bakuda motor road, motor road for Ghuri village, Bhaidgaon Talla motor road, Jallu motor road and directed the officials to construct the said motor roads soon. He said that the work of asphalting, repair and improvement of other roads of the area should also be completed speedily and special attention should be paid to quality in its construction. Dr. Rawat said that if any kind of negligence is done in road construction, strict action will be taken against the concerned officer and the implementing agency. He instructed the officials that no village in the assembly constituency should be deprived of motorable roads, the officials should properly evaluate every aspect so that the approved roads cover as many villages as possible.
Officials of Srinagar, Pabau and Bajron block along with high level officials of Public Works Department, PMGSY and Bridkul were present in the meeting.
