Dehradun, the administrative investigation completed the complaint lodged on the CM portal regarding the illegal mazar built in the capital’s Doon Hospital and demolished it with a bulldozer late at night. This mazar was built by illegally occupying government land. The special thing is that no remains were found from the debris of the demolished illegal mazar.
According to the information, after this complaint was lodged by Rishikesh resident Pankaj Gupta on the CM Helpline portal, DM Dehradun was asked to investigate the matter, after which the city administration has given instructions to investigate the land related documents of the said illegal structure. Through which investigation was done in Revenue, Municipal Corporation, PWD, Doon Hospital Administration and other departments.
According to the information, is the mazar of Doon Hospital illegal or not, is it on government land or not? Was permission taken for its construction or not? A detailed investigation was done in this regard and a report was sought from the hospital administration, after which a notice was issued to the Khadim here.
There have been various discussions among the people of Dehradun regarding this shrine. Some call it a Fakir and some call it some other kind of shrine. The Khadim sitting here used to do the superstitious work of going among the patients of the hospital and making them pray here, due to which the hospital administration was also troubled. It is said that many people are running their business from this illegally built religious structure.
It is reported that earlier also the hospital administration had written a letter to the government on the disturbance during treatment and demanded to remove it from here. After which the administration team carried out its action by sealing the hospital road late at night and deploying police force.
Late night, a joint team of Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department, Doon Hospital Administration and District Administration together completed the demolition of the said illegal shrine.
