The Cooperative Department of Uttarakhand has received a boost with the appointment of six new Assistant Registrars, selected through the State Public Service Commission. These officers have been assigned their first postings in various hilly districts of the state. Cooperative Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat congratulated the newly appointed officials and expressed confidence that their addition would enhance departmental efficiency, administrative processes, and ensure that cooperative schemes benefit a larger population.
Government’s Vision for Strengthening the Cooperative Sector
Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat emphasized that the state government is working aggressively to transform the cooperative sector. Strengthening the administrative structure and ensuring effective implementation of cooperative schemes are key priorities. These efforts aim to maximize benefits for farmers, women, self-help groups, and young entrepreneurs in rural areas.
To accelerate cooperative work and ensure smoother implementation of departmental schemes, six Assistant Registrars have been deployed as follows:

Comprehensive Training for the New Appointees
Before their field assignments, the Assistant Registrars underwent 12 weeks of intensive training at Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Administration Academy, Nainital. Additionally, they received 43 days of induction and orientation training at the Cooperative Management Institute, Dehradun, where they gained insights into departmental policies, administrative procedures, and cooperative sector management.
Impact of New Appointments on Cooperative Development
Minister Dr. Rawat stated that these appointments will significantly enhance the efficiency of the Cooperative Department, making loan distribution to farmers, self-help groups, and small entrepreneurs more accessible. The officers will play a key role in realizing the vision of “Prosperity through Cooperation” in Uttarakhand’s hilly regions.
