The BJP Mahila Morcha launched the nationwide ‘Angan Milan Seva’ program as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,’ an initiative dedicated to the 25-year journey of public service undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ruchi Bhatt, the State President of the Mahila Morcha, stated that Anganwadi centers serve as the cornerstone for maternal empowerment, nutrition, and child development. The objective of this initiative is to engage in direct dialogue with mothers and children and connect them with nutrition, health, and public welfare schemes.
She noted that out of the 4,406 programs organized across the country, 581 were conducted in Uttarakhand—the third-highest number nationwide, following Gujarat (995) and West Bengal (675). Workers play a pivotal role in disseminating nutrition and health awareness to even the most remote areas across the 20,067 centers in the hill state of Uttarakhand. This campaign also serves as a means to honor the contributions of Anganwadi workers.
