The 21st meeting of the State Level Security Committee (SLSC) was held at the Secretariat on Friday with the aim of bolstering banking infrastructure security, currency chest safety, and the secure transportation of cash in Uttarakhand. The meeting was chaired by Home Secretary Shailesh Bagauli.
Senior officials from the state administration, law enforcement agencies, and major banks participated in this high-level meeting organized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Kanpur. Officials from RBI Dehradun and the central office in Mumbai were also present.
Discussions during the meeting focused on banking security challenges, the safety of currency chests, the prevention of counterfeit currency, and effective measures for the secure movement of cash. Describing the committee as a crucial platform for strengthening the security apparatus, all stakeholders emphasized the necessity of continuous coordination, information sharing, and mutual cooperation
