On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, the SSP of Dehradun hoisted the flag at the Police Lines and paid tribute to the immortal martyrs. During the event, he administered an oath of dedication to duty and service to the nation to the police personnel and encouraged them to discharge their duties with utmost integrity.
Officers and personnel were honored at the ceremony with the Director General of Police’s “Silver” Commendation Disc for their outstanding work. Those honored included SP (Crime/Traffic) Jitendra Chaudhary, SP (City) Pramod Kumar, SP (Rural-I) Jaya Baluni, CO (City) Swapnil Muyal, and Head Constable Neelam Bamrada. Additionally, the names of other personnel receiving the Commendable Service Medal and Commendation Disc were announced.
Flag-hoisting ceremonies were also held with great enthusiasm at all police stations, outposts, and offices across Dehradun district, where police personnel took the oath of service to the nation. The Dehradun police family extended Independence Day greetings to the people of the state.
