The third day of the public hearing campaign organized by the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA)—aimed at making the Dehradun Master Plan-2041 more practical and grounded in public participation—concluded at Doon University. Local citizens, landowners, and various stakeholders participated enthusiastically in this camp, which was held for Sector-03.
During the hearing, participants submitted their suggestions and objections regarding key issues such as land use, traffic management, green zone conservation, and residential-commercial activities. MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari and Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia clarified that every suggestion received would undergo technical and legal scrutiny to ensure the future development framework is balanced and serves the public interest.
This public consultation campaign is being conducted across all 12 sectors of the region from July 6 to July 21, 2026. The Authority believes that this ‘roadmap’ for the capital’s development will succeed only through the active participation of its citizens. Tomorrow, i.e., Thursday, a public hearing camp will be held at the Municipal Corporation Town Hall for the residents of Sector-04. The MDDA has appealed to all citizens to participate in this process and play their part in the planned development of Dehradun
