A sensation spread across the Kotwali police station area on Monday morning after the body of a man was discovered lying in a field near the Atmalpur Bongla Bypass. The police arrived at the scene, initiated an investigation, and sent the body to the district hospital mortuary. Preliminary inquiries suggest the possibility that the victim was murdered by having his head crushed. The police have commenced a thorough probe into the matter.
The deceased has been identified as Rajveer (45), son of Amar Singh, a resident of Dhampur, Bijnor. According to the police, local residents informed authorities on Monday morning that the body of a man was lying in a field situated along the bypass.
Upon reaching the spot, the police observed deep injury marks on the victim’s head, indicating he had been struck with a heavy object. A hammer and an empty liquor bottle were found lying nearby. It is suspected that the victim was murdered by being bludgeoned with the hammer. It is believed that individuals known to the victim may be behind the crime.
Kotwali Station In-charge Amarjeet Singh stated that Rajveer was employed at a company located in the SIDCUL area. Footage from CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity is currently being scrutinized. Suspects will also be interrogated. Additionally, the deceased’s Call Detail Records (CDRs) are being examined to determine with whom he was in contact most recently
