The Transport Department has intensified its preparations to ensure a well-organized and safe upcoming Char Dham Yatra. The process of issuing Green Cards for commercial passenger vehicles undertaking the pilgrimage is set to commence on March 23.
The issuance of Green Cards will formally begin at the ARTO office on March 23, starting at 11:00 AM. ARTO Rawat Singh Kataria stated that a Green Card will be mandatory for all commercial passenger vehicles operating on the Char Dham Yatra route.
No vehicle will be permitted to operate on the pilgrimage route without a valid Green Card. ARTO Kataria further added that, starting March 23, vehicle owners and drivers may obtain their Green Cards by visiting the designated location on any working day, ensuring their vehicles undergo a timely inspection, and presenting the necessary valid documents
