Haridwar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Haridwar today. He participated in the program organized to mark the completion of four years of the Uttarakhand government. During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth crores. He also addressed a large public gathering, during which he strongly targeted the Congress.
Amit Shah said that PM Modi initiated the 25-year celebration of Uttarakhand. He said that there was a time when Uttarakhand was fighting for its rights. Today, the state has a distinct identity. He said that the youth of Uttarakhand were on the front lines to save Uttarakhand’s existence. At that time, the Congress and Samajwadi parties suppressed them.
Amit Shah said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee created the state of Uttarakhand. He said that the Congress was questioning how small states would survive and how their economies would function, but Atal ji created three states: Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Today, all three states are progressing on the path of development.
He said Atal ji built it, Modi ji will work to improve it. Amit Shah said that today 1900 youth are getting jobs as police constables here. I want to ask all the youth from my heart, if there was a Congress government, would they have got these jobs? A slip would have been required and expenses incurred. Now, there are no recommendations, no bribes. Even the son of an old woman living in the mountains is getting a job without a recommendation. This is called good governance.
Amit Shah said that today, approximately 200 people from Pakistan and Afghanistan have been granted citizenship here. He said that all of them have suffered a lot. They came to our country to save the honor of their religion, family, and women. Will India not grant them citizenship? Rahul Baba, no matter how much you protest, we will grant them citizenship. He said that the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain refugees who have come here have the same right to this country as everyone else. They are our citizens, but due to appeasement politics, they were denied citizenship since independence. Amit Shah said that when I introduced the CAA, Congress, SP, BSP, Mamata, DMK, everyone was creating a ruckus in the House. Amit Shah said that the Dhami government has also taken action against land jihad. Congress’s entire energy is focused on protecting infiltrators. Dhami ji has uprooted and demolished more than 10,000 encroachments in Uttarakhand. Wherever there are infiltrators in the country, we will work to expel them from India, one by one. Rahul Baba can protest as much as he wants. He said that Congress is still opposing SIR. He said that the Election Commission is purifying the voter list and the BJP is fully supporting it. Democracy in a country where the voter list is not purified cannot remain safe for long.
Amit Shah said that PM Modi has given the honor of being the first village in the country to border villages. Through the Vibrant Villages Program, we are planning to develop border villages and stop migration from them by developing India’s first village. Uttarakhand is benefiting the most from this. Amit Shah said that in 2026, BJP and NDA governments will be formed in Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The people of Devbhoomi will have to inaugurate 2027. We will once again form a BJP government in Uttarakhand with a landslide majority.
