In Uttarakhand, the weather remained clear from the mountains to the plains on Sunday, with sunshine throughout the day. However, fog is expected in the plains on Monday, along with the possibility of rain and snowfall in the mountainous regions. This could lead to an increase in cold.
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, a yellow alert has been issued for fog in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. In addition, light rain and snowfall are expected in some parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts. Snowfall is particularly likely in areas above 3000 meters in the state. Looking ahead, the weather pattern is expected to remain similar until February 11th.
From February 12th onwards, the weather will become dry, and strong sunshine in the plains will lead to warmer temperatures and a rise in mercury levels. On Sunday, bright sunshine in Dehradun resulted in a maximum temperature of 25.4 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal. The minimum night temperature was also recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. Similar conditions prevailed in all parts of the state.
